Precision Marketing: August 2005
Online travel operator Ebookers has appointed Stephens Francis Whitson (SFW) to work on its prospect and customer marketing programme.
The agency will initially roll out campaigns to create an ongoing dialogue with customers, using media including direct mail. The first blitz is set for next month.
Ebookers has also signed a deal with retail loyalty card scheme Nectar to target customers with promotional offers.
Deidre O'Reilly, head of direct marketing at Ebookers, says: "We have all the tools in place to build engaging communications with our customers - to a complex level.
"The agency demonstrated its ability to ensure that we maximise this investment. We were impressed by SFW's enthusiasm for our business, and the unquestionable evidence of the team's experience."
SFW creative partner Neil Francis comments: "The travel market is a sector we all know well. It will be challenging to increase the efficiency and efficacy of all of Ebookers' communications, in a market where customers can soon drop out to become cold prospects again. It is a sector where good-quality creative thinking is vital to achieve stand-out."
SFW was recently appointed by Callaway Golf Europe to develop its pan-European customer management programme (PM July 15).
